The other day, I met a girl who was shortly going to be travelling to Africa. She was a Christian, and felt strongly about the need to do this for Jesus, because of what He means to her. She called herself a missionary, but she isn't going with any Christian group; she's going with a non-profit organization to help people out. I'm not sure exactly who she's going to be helping, but that wasn't really what we talked about. She's another person who feels injured, or marginalized, by the church. But she still feels very moved by Jesus Christ. It's a very interesting thing for me to see, because I've had questions over the years about the church. I wonder how it fits in with Jesus. It's cool for me to see someone who's so moved by Christ, that even though they don't have a church they call home, and don't necessarily go regularly to church, they still have an obvious "light" in their life. We talked for about ten minutes, and then she had to go. I'll probably never see her again.
