I've been thinking of signing up for a photo sharing service so that I'll be able to post pictures here as well as just text. It'd also be nice to share them in other ways. So far, it looks like the best service for that is Flickr, so I think I'll be signing up for it here soon.

I'll also be able to use Flickr, I think, to help with photography, if I decide to share them online, like at photo.net. I've been looking into film photography again (it's something I think about now and then) and have been finding out about home darkrooms, among other things. I really want to get into medium format photography, but it's fairly expensive, so I don't when or if it will happen. The easiest way, I think, to get in is to start out with a Holga. It's called a toy camera because it's cheap and plastic and quirky. But I like its quirks, and I think I'll probably start out with one. I'd also like to get a decent manual 35mm slr. I grew up using my parents' old Minolta, so I know how to use one, but I'd like to get better at composition, etc.. And I'd like to do this all in black and white so that it'll be easier to process at my home should I decide to do a darkroom.

But it all costs money.
